Georgia Besen, born in 1997 in São Paulo, Brazil, is a singer and performer recognized for her commitment to the arts. Coming from a family of professional musicians, she began her career at a very young age, with the conviction that her path would be artistic.
After training in opera singing and participating in multiple choirs and vocal groups, Georgia discovered her true passion for jazz and Brazilian music, especially bossa nova, samba and MPB, which she studies and integrates into her art. Along the way, Georgia also developed an interest in teaching, which she has been practicing since 2014 in music schools and in a private scene. She has explored different styles of singing, ranging from choir to solo singing, including jazz and opera.
Due to the rise of the Bolsonaro government in Brazil, Georgia made the difficult decision to leave her home country, as this situation made the country unsafe for women. After becoming a mother and moving to Belgium, she was forced to work in fields far from art, which profoundly changed her perception of music, transforming it back into a passion rather than just a job.
In 2023, Georgia became a mother of two children, and it was almost natural for her to feel the urge to compose. In her most recent project, entitled "Fleurir", she creates a solo album where she shares her story and rediscovers her Latin and Polish Jewish roots.
